Seattle!?!!?

All right.

Well I'm 13 and for some reason I feel like my destiny is to grow up in Seattle. I know that sound's odd. But from the band's I've seen come out of that town, and music and just the rain honestly it's a city. I live in some lame super high crime ghetto town and was wanting to know what it is like to grow up and be growing up in Seattle. I know I can live there when I'm older but I want to grow up there.

* Is it easy to make friends at the schools?

* Do they have every click there?(prep, punk, ect)

*Music?

*Good shopping?

*Local Shows?Seattle!?!!?
I can't think of any place more beautiful than Seattle. Its such a funky city with so much charm. I lived in Seattle for five years and attended the University of Washington.

The lack of sun is an issue. I moved to Seattle from Colorado and for the first 9 months I felt claustrophobic because of the low cloud cover. It was not so much the rain as it was the clouds, however on a sunny day you can't compare to the beauty of the sky and the mountains. Breathtaking. After I got used to the weather, then it was great. I don't know about growing up there since I was a college student. But I do know that I loved every minute of living there and still miss it to this day. If you can't grow up there, at the very least you can go to college there and attend the UW. A great place to study and such a beautiful campus. I wasn't into the music scene much, but I like how I had access to the water and the mountains. The summers are great. They are cool and breezy and mostly sunny.
I love Seattle! I am not from there, but it is my favourite place to visit. I found that the people were generally really friendly and helpful, the live music scene is awesome, shopping is good too. They have a pretty good artsy scene. I love the rain too, and the ocean. I can't comment on the schools since I never attended one, and honestly all my friends that live there have never mentioned school at all and they all would have graduated 3-4 years ago.Seattle!?!!?
It's not depressing at all.
Check it out if you are into music. There is a good scene for that. But it IS depressing if you like the sun. Least amount in the US, only second to Alaska.
