How is the cost of living and job opportunities in Seattle, Washington?

I'm currently a California resident, and I am thinking about moving out of the state to seek greater opportunities. Is Seattle a good place to go?How is the cost of living and job opportunities in Seattle, Washington?
Seattle MIGHT provide better opportunities than you have in California; HOWEVER, cost of living is a bit on the high side and job opportunities are a bit on the meager side. Not sure this is a good time to make this move. It's worked for some people, but there certainly aren't any guarantees.
cost of living is high, but living right outside the city is cheaper, and very easy access. i have lived in washington my whole life, and i prefer to live in lynnwood area, edmonds, renton, etc. i do work in the city though :)How is the cost of living and job opportunities in Seattle, Washington?
now would be a great time to buy a place because the rates are so low, but not to rent. the job oppurtunities are also a little lacking, but if you have extra money it would be wise to invest in real estate here now
Cost of living isn't too bad compared to CA but jobs are short like most places. You can buy a house under 300K now some places.
