What is the best way to travel from Seattle to Vancouver?

We are going to Vancouver from Seattle in early August. Is there a boat or ferry that we could take to travel there? What do you suggest? What is the best way to travel from Seattle to Vancouver?
There is a ferry from Seattle to Victoria (on Vancouver Island) and another ferry from Victoria to Vancouver. It's a pretty trip.

If you are driving, it's an easy drive from Seattle up I-5 to Vancouver. The only hangup might be lineups at the border, depending on when you cross.

There's a great train trip - scenic and pleasant.

And you can go by bus. The bus usually by-passes the lineups and congestion, so you get through quicker than by car.

Enjoy your stay!
According to the BC Ferries website at http://www.bcferries.com/travel_planning鈥?/a> there is a private company that has a boat between Seattle and Victoria, but there is no commercial boat route between Seattle and Vancouver. Your options are flying, taking the bus like the Greyhound, driving, or taking the train with Amtrak. What is the best way to travel from Seattle to Vancouver?
No boat. Not directly, anyway, if your only intention is to get from one city to the other. Both cities are on the mainland so a ferry isn't needed and therefore there's no direct ferry. It's about a 3 hour drive by car, there's a train, there's a Greyhound bus, there are airport shuttle buses. How you travel is going to depend on whether or not you'll have a car, or want to drive, and perhaps on where in each city you want to go.
The long way around by ferry is to take the ferry from Seattle to Victoria, then the BC Ferry from Swartz Bay(Victoria side) to Tsawassen(Vancouver side).

But the quickest way is to take the Amtrak train, US Greyhound or QuickShuttle bus.
Just drive. It really doesn't take very long.
