I will be making between $55-$70k per year and will be going to Portland once every two months, and Vancouver once every three months, for work. It would be nice to be at a decent point between Tacoma and Seattle, but closer to Seattle. I have never been to the area, but would also like to know if it would be feasible to live just outside the city in a smaller town? Thanks.I will be moving to the Seattle area soon and need to be centrally located?
Try the Des Moines area (south of Seattle), or West Seattle (specifically Alki Beach).
