Did this years ago from Prince Rupert to Haines. slept in the lounge area. It's not Carnival or Holland America. No pools or anything, but it was comfortable enough. How can I find an inexpensive ferry ride from Seattle to Alaska?
The Alaska Marine Highway runs from Bellingham to Ketchikan and other points along the coast and out into the Aleutians. It's run by the state, not fancy but it does the job.

Bellingham to Juneau is $326 one way. Since it takes about two days, you might want to pay $74 for a roomette. There are occasional specials. See the web site below for details.

To get from Seattle to Bellingham you can take the bus or the train.
