What are some nice areas around Seattle Washington to live in?

I'm planning on moving to the Seattle area from Las Vegas when I graduate college. What are some areas around Seattle that would be a good place to live? I'd prefer to stay out of inner urban / high crime rate areas.



I was thinking maybe Lakewood. Do you have any recommendations?What are some nice areas around Seattle Washington to live in?
Most of Seattle area is very safe.

Lakewood is south of Tacoma - and is a nicer neighborhood for the Tacoma area. But if you are going to be commuting to Seattle daily, it's a bit of a drive.



Steilacoom is also a nice town in that same area. If you are going to be stationed at JBLM be aware that the freeway in that area gets quite congested and the lines to get on base can be lengthy....What are some nice areas around Seattle Washington to live in?
Bellevue maybe? I think that it's really nice there. Also, possibly Issaquah, but that's kind of far away and has a lot of traffic going through because of I-90.
A lot of places around Seattle have high crime rates. Maybe it's a little further than you'd like but Isaquah and Renton are really good cities. So is Belevue.
