With all the multimillion dollar settlements the city has paid out in the news. I wonder how much the City of Seattle pays out in lawsuits annually. A few million for a couple dozen lawsuits per year, adds up.How much does the city of Seattle pay out for lawsuits and settlements per year?
Washington state paid more than $50 million in lawsuit costs in 2009, but numbers for 2010 haven't been released as far as I can tell.
The lawsuit against the Sonics in 2008, however, brought in 45 million with another 30 million possible if Seattle hasn't gotten another NBA team by 2013.
