I didnt once, i got to Seattle with $100 bucks in my pocket and no friends or family. My first day I found a homeless shelter but in a week i was able to rent a room. You can get there broke and do daily labor work to make money but I recommend you get there with at least $1,000 so you could rent a room. Just look up rooms for rent on craigslist and you can find cheap ones. Seattle is a kind of expensive city but its expensive everywhere these days anyway.
Well, it's better than a dream to live in another country cause you can at least get a job :) If you want to stay for a couple months it would be wise to save for maybe 4 months(depending on how much you currently make) It also might be wiser to move to a place that is around 10-30 minutes away.Tips on moving to Seattle with no job? How much should I save to survive out there?
We have unemployment here like anywhere else. You can stand with a sign begging at a freeway entrance, if someone else hasn't camped in the space.
