My husband and I are looking to move to the Seattle area. We are buying a business that is currently in Burien, but we're not sure we want to live there. We are a mixed couple, and are working on starting a family. We are both college educated, love to socialize, and want to live in an area that is family friendly, but not "stuffy suburban". Any suggestions would be great! What is a great area in Seattle that has a good racial mix, nice homes, and not too far from the city?
Snobs (lol). I live in Burien (seriously; and college educated, too). And the city is lower class, not stuffy suburban. The commute from north Seattle would wear you out. Try West Seattle (upscale) and my wife says Federal Way for what you want (maybe 10 - 12 mi south). Renton might fill your bill even though it gets teased a lot (reference re an old TV show), or Kent %26lt;--probably your best bet, and good schools, too.
You might find Normandy Park (2 miles south) stuffy suburban, as it is a richer, less dense, enclave of houses, but an easy commute.
So if you give me the 10 points, tell me which business because I am curious. What is a great area in Seattle that has a good racial mix, nice homes, and not too far from the city?
n.seattle is where you want . So freemont is Beautiful and green lake any place just north is cleaner less violence.
