What is the best way to get from the seattle amtrak station to pike place market?

We will have about a four hour layover at the seattle amtrak station and would like to get to pike place market to check it out. What is the best way to get from point A to point B that is the easiest to use and has the most options for pickup/dropoff so we don't miss our train. What is the best way to get from the seattle amtrak station to pike place market?
It's a short ride in a taxi. Or, you could walk up the north steps of the station and pop out near Pioneer Square (in the flat area to your left), just follow 2nd Avenue up the hill until you get to Pike St. Look left and you'll see the Pike Place Market sitting two blocks down the street. It's a nice stroll on a clear day.

You can walk if you want. It's what, 12 blocks? Although it's all uphill.

Or catch a bus. They are free in the downtown area. Get on any northbound Metro or Sound Transit bus that you see. It's a short ride. So stay near the front of the bus. Tell the driver that you are going to the market and want off at the closest spot. It will be around Pike or Pine, depending on what bus you get. Each bus stops at every other stop, so you can't know in advance which of the two stops it will be. When you get off the bus, head west, downhill, towards the water. You'll hit the market.

When you want to go back, walk back up to where you got off the bus, but stop one block east or west. North bound buses travel on one street, and south bound buses travel on the next street. 4th Ave is for northbound, and 5th is for southbound buses, for example. So every other street you can catch a south bound bus. Get off around where you got on the north bound bus, like Jackson if that's where you got on. Go back down to the Amtrak station. What is the best way to get from the seattle amtrak station to pike place market?
Honestly, it's not that far. I'd walk.

If you're not up for it, jump on any of the TONS of bus routes that move south to north along 4th avenue. Jump off at Pike and walk to the market.
lisa A i was wondering that myslef, I hear the train goes right in front of the quest field where the seahawks play.
