Did Steve Hutchinson leaving Seattle cause Shaun Alexander to become mediocre?

Hutch left Seattle and Alexander hasn't had a good season since. Now Adrian Peterson looks like the second coming of Walter Payton. Is this a coincidence?Did Steve Hutchinson leaving Seattle cause Shaun Alexander to become mediocre?
I think it's the curse of the contract year. Alexander had a contract year last year, played like crazy to get his $$, and now between injuries and offensive changes, he's frankly coasting. Half these injuries he would have played through last year. This year? He's not as worried because he got his already.

All he's doing is screwing me in fantasy football! *ick*
Adraina Peterson is a rookie and already hurt i think he wont lastDid Steve Hutchinson leaving Seattle cause Shaun Alexander to become mediocre?
games are won in the trenches. if qb's don't have 4 seconds in the pocket, will they be successfull? if the OL does not provide the lanes, will the running game be successfull? no. Minnesota has an excellent OL, i would know as a Packer fan, we have to play them twice a year.
actually yes in this case, cause after he left the whole offense went bad, with 3 of there other starters now retiring due to injury, and the offense getting so banged up now.
Actually, yes, it is coincidence, for the most part. Alexander is all beaten up, he's about 30 (the age at which most RBs' skills completely die), and Peterson is quite talented and just entering his prime.

Hutchinson has something to do with Peterson's early successes and Alexander's decline, but the facts that Peterson is gifted and that Alexander is aging and losing most of his talent has even more to do with it.
