What would happen if the distance from Seattle to New York is bended in a U-shape?

what would happen to a bullet that is fired upward from seattle to N.Y?

Does the bullet stops at the mid point of Sea-NY and then falls toward N.Y?

Can a long rope be tied from the space needle to the statue of liberty? What would happen if the distance from Seattle to New York is bended in a U-shape?
That's called the "Great Circle Distance". Since the planet is spherical, the shortest line between two long distance points will have an arc to to. Common tool for long distance navigation.

You would have a hard time getting that rope over the 10,000+ foot height of the Rocky Mountains, but, ignoring all of the reasons that it is not reasonable, then, sure you could tie a 3000 mile long rope to each of those objects.

The rope would not, however, be suspended above the ground. What would happen if the distance from Seattle to New York is bended in a U-shape?
sounds like a homework problem
I don't think a bullet would reach THAT far.
