What is the coolest, most walkable part of Seattle?

I'm a San Franciscan who has to move to Seattle for a year. I'm looking for a place to live in Seattle. Needless to say, San Francisco is stunning, friendly, and WALKABLE (or at least covered by street trams); my hope is I can find the same kind of neighborhood in Seattle - you can probably sense I hate cars and I think parking lots are ugly. What's your recommendation? And thanks. What is the coolest, most walkable part of Seattle?
queen ann is walk and bus frendly

and capital hill is to
Most of Seattle is walkable. Pike Place Market, The sea-front by the ferry terminals to Sculpture Park, Pioneer Square, The International District get on a bus to Capitol Hill and walk to Bruce and Brandon Lee's graves. West Seattle's Alki Beach the list goes on.

Sooooooooooo many places to walk it's great. What is the coolest, most walkable part of Seattle?
I think from Pike Place down to the piers is a great walking area that is just beautiful! In terms of living, there are a lot of places that are pretty nice, but exactly what sort of neighborhood and price ranges are you looking for?
The Pike Market and the fish market, there are so many shops and stuff to look at and then walk from there all the way down to the area where they give underground Seattle tours. There's a lot of interesting things there. Also along the warf is a nice place to walk.
A lot of seattle is walkable but I recomend around the Space Needle and the small theme park thing right next to it.
