Where is a good place to park all day in downtown Seattle?

My friends and I are taking a road trip to Seattle on the 28th, a Sunday. We we're wanting a low cost place to park and then bus around for the rest of the day. Space should be in or near downtown Seattle. Anybody have any recommendations?Where is a good place to park all day in downtown Seattle?
Parking in Downtown it a mess. Its always hard to find parking and its not cheap. I always preffered to get a hotel and pay for parking at the hotel so I did not have to worry about parking that way. You can try to park on Alaska Way underneith the overpass at parking meters. There is also alot of parking garages to park at but alot of times everything is full unless you get there early. Good luck and have fun.
This is a just day trip, I live in Tacoma, so there would be no point to getting a hotel. It's just that normally I take the bus to Seattle, however the buses only run so late and we wanted to go to a bar late so we need to drive there this time.

Well since you are coming to Seattle in on a Sunday, street parking is free all day long. So I would just suggest driving around till you find a place to park on the street. That way you can stay there ALLLL day and you don't have to worry about paying too much since it's free and you don't have to worry about getting towed either.
Like someone said, parking is free on Sundays. If you like hanging out downtown, why not park near the Pikes Place market. You can park across the street from the waterfront and take the elevator up to the market. From there, you can get to the market as well as the downtown area. However it is a Sunday...things will shut down earlier. Come early if you can.
