Why are there a lot of direct flights between Seattle and Copenhagen?

I was looking to fly to Europe and there seems to be a lot of direct flights between Seattle and Copenhagen. Why is that? Is it because they fly directly over the North Pole? Why are there a lot of direct flights between Seattle and Copenhagen?
Hello, have a look also at http://www.cheaptickets.gr/travel/flight鈥?/a>
SAS flies nonstop from Seattle to Copenhagen. I'm not sure why but there must be a demand for flights between those cities.

Direct and nonstop aren't the same thing also. Direct means the plane makes a stop but you don't have to switch planes. Why are there a lot of direct flights between Seattle and Copenhagen?
I guess maybe because its the only connection with Scandinavia from th West coast. The other two are Chicago %26amp; Newark.
supply and demand
