Where is a good place to get a Hotel in Seattle?

My husband and I planning a trip to Seattle (we are both 32 and living in California). I wonder if some one know which area in Seattle is good to have a Hotel as long as we like to be walking distance to some places and also be in a busy and life night place. Thanks!Where is a good place to get a Hotel in Seattle?
There are lots of choices. A lot depends on your budget and preferences. For the most convenient and safest area after dark, I would look at the hotels within a few blocks of Westlake Center. It is between 4th and 5th Avenue and between Pine st. and Olive way and is a really a good hub. Westlake center has the end of the light rail line from the airport underneath and the Monorail to the Seattle Center on the top floor and is only a few blocks away from the Pike Place Market and Waterfront. Look at map of the area and the location of the hotel on the map when booking a room. Some suggestions: Sheraton, Hilton, Westin, Red Lion or Hyatt. There are of course many others, but that gives you some that are close to everything.

Since most people who live in the Seattle area don't stay in hotels in the area very much I would recommend checking trip advisor for some reviews from travelers: http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-3939914-107鈥?/a>

If you are concerned about being in the safest area after dark, I would stay east of 3rd Avenue (the avenues with larger numbers than 3 - 4th, 5th, 6th, etc.). Again, look at a map before you book a hotel.

Enjoy your triip!
The Holiday inn is not good walking distance to everything except Seattle Center.

I would suggest the Hilton Seattle. Centrally located. Walking distance to shopping, 5th avenue waterfront, restaurants, theatre and Pike's Place. If you wanted to go to Pioneer Square for clubs you could just take a cab which would be a short distance so it wouldn't be too expensive. You could also catch the monorail at Westlake Mall which is walking distance from your hotel to Seattle Center.Where is a good place to get a Hotel in Seattle?
Try either the Hotel Vintage Park on 5th Ave. and Spring St., or the Alexis Hotel on 1st Ave. and Madison St. Both are really attractive boutique hotels, and we've enjoyed our stays at both of them. Service is above par, and they each have a unique quality. The Alexis is closer to the waterfront, and puts you in easy walking distance to Pike Place, the waterfront restaurants, and the Seattle Art Museum. Hotel Vintage Park is a little further from the waterfront, but has some nice shopping several blocks away. We walked from there to Pike Place in about 10 minutes. Both are close to the Seattle Light Rail as well, and are in the ride free zone so you don't have to walk everywhere. You're a few minutes ride in either direction from the International District, the sports arenas, Space Needle, etc. They can be a little pricey compared to other hotels, but if you check out Expedia or Hotwire, you can find great package deals. Enjoy!
I have stayed at Hotel Vintage and the service is wonderful! I just wanted to get away from my family, so I booked a room online and printed the papers, for some computer glitch the booking wasn't in there system so they upgraded my room and gave me some free wine. Nice place, minus the small T.V.

I also liked Hotel Monaco, nice and clean. Great service and would go there again.

The Hilton at Seatac Airport was great, nice room with a swimming pool and hot tub.
