Looking for a craft group in Seattle for deaf people?

I am wanting to learn to crochet and do other crafts, and was hoping that there might be a craft group in North Seattle/ Shoreline area? Does anyone know of one?Looking for a craft group in Seattle for deaf people?
(First, I accidentally clicked the thumbs UP button to the previous answer when I was trying to click the thumbs DOWN... just fyi).

I don't know of anything in particular, but some things to try might be:

...checking out the local deaf clubs to see if anyone can suggest groups, or would be interested in starting a group even with just a few people

...checking out deaf services (for the same reasons as above)

...checking out any depts at universities and/or community colleges for info, or for those learning interpreting checking out individuals who are already interpreters (for the same reasons as above)

...placing an announcement at meetup.com or even at craigslist.com for the area you're in, to see if anyone else is interested

A lot of crafts are fairly visual so you could also just buy videos, or books, as well as finding free videos online (YouTube, etc., or sites that deal with yarns or crocheting or any particular craft).

You could probably also get help with crocheting and knitting at local knitting or yarn stores. They sometimes have little get-togethers where everyone works on their things and can ask questions, or you could just go into a shop like that and ask a question or two to an individual employee (they'll often help beginners that way).

(If you're interested in polymer clay, there's a deaf guy, Mikey K., who's put out a couple of videos with signing at YouTube:

...you can also send a message to him (from his profile page) to ask if he can suggest anything else about deaf crafts and craft groups, etc.

There are also loads of lessons (visual and written) on using polymer clay at my site. Here is a direct link to the Table of Contents page for the whole site:

(.....scroll all the way down just to see all the things that are covered there, then when you want to go to a particular page, click on its name from inside the alphabetical navigation bar on the left)
