What hotel should i choose in seattle between the 2?

I'm visiting Seattle in a month. I'm either going to choose an average hotel (holiday inn) with a great location....or a super nice 4 star hotel in bellevue for the same price but 15 miles away. I would also have to find parking downtown if I choose the nice hotel. Both hotels cost the same per night. Location or Fancy Hotel? I would be staying for the weekend. What hotel should i choose in seattle between the 2?
you have a few options..you could stay downtown, worry about parking prices, but be right in the middle of things, or you could stay away from downtown...i'd suggest staying outside of the city...check out the embassy suites in lynnwood it's only 15 miles north of the city. it's a really nice hotel that was renovated last year. your rate will include a full breakfast with a cooked to order omelet station and at night you get 2 hours of free drinks and snacks. the also have an indoor pool hot tub and sauna. check thier website or call for prices. you can take a bus from the lynnwood park and ride to downtown seattle. don't have to worry about parking and it's only $2.50/person one way downtown. the hotel has a shuttle that goes within 8 miles and can take you to the park and ride. parking at the hotel is free
Choose a Seattle Hotel, you'll be in the city and able to walk or ride in the free bus zone. Traffic will be terrible if you want to go during the day. Stay the weekend,go to some bars and taxi it back home. I like the W myself, but also like a few near the convention center.Von's is adjacent to a hotel. They have the best sandwiches there ( if you eat meat). Have a fun time though! What hotel should i choose in seattle between the 2?
The commute across the lake can be aggravating (Seattle's traffic is pretty bad) and parking downtown can be $15-$25 in a lot. If you're going to go to Seattle everyday that you're here, I'd say to stay in Seattle. Seattle can be a more interesting place to stay as well.
